This is about as much as I know--
Simeon J. Meadows served in Company F, 13th Georgia Battalion Cavalry, C.S.A. from 1862 to 1864. He was in the Shendoah Valley campaign in 1864--and had a caputred Union horse he'd named "Burnside"--which he traded to John Todd for his thirty–day leave.
sounds to me like an enterprising fellow with a good sense of humor, and I really would like to find out more about the unit and his (their) experiences.
Any help would be appreciated.
