Theresa

This is what I show form the compiled list:

MUSTER ROLL OF *1st COMPANY I, 25th REGIMENT
GEORGIA VOLUNTEER COMPANY
ARMY OF TENNESSEE
C. S. A.
CHATHAM COUNTY, GEORGIA
"BRYAN GUARDS"

*This company was successively designated as 1st Co. I, and 3d Co. D.

Wilson, Claudius C.-- Captain August 9, 1861. Elected Colonel September 2, 1861. Promoted Brigadier General, P.A.C.S., November 16, 1863. Died at Ringgold, Ga. November 27, 1863.

In the book Confederate Generals of Georgia and Their Burial Sites by Robert H. Kerlin - there is a small narrative of him and there is no indication that he was ever a Lt. Col. - there is an image of him and his grave in Savannah in the book.
