I do see a Company H (Ware County), 11TH Regiment Georgia Cavalry, State Guards. I do not see a Alfred M. Smith in this unit. The only Smiths I see are Sgt. William D. Smith, and Joseph D. Smith.

However I do see a Private A. M. Smith in Company H (Habersham County), 11TH Regiment Georgia Volunteer Cavalry. Other Smiths in this same company are, Corp. Stephen B. Smith, Private Bethel Smith and Private Jesse Smith,
