That's the man.

Prior to Sherman's advance from Atlanta, Augusta had a battalion of arsenal workers as local defense. I don't believe these men were included since they were exempt from Confederate service. If I understand, the local defense regiment was composed of Confederate soldiers away from their regular commands. These were assembled at Augusta for the duration of the threat.
