It was passed down all these years to his decendents that he was killed in Atlanta.Would guess they never knew any dates are maybe anything else. The first record any of them ever saw was the pension record and service file yesterday. Don't believe he was brought home because they knew were she was buried and took care of her grave. Another guess is they may have found out what little they knew from someone that came home at wars end. If its ok with you I will scan this record and send to you.
