In reference to Alan answer to your posting, He is correct in the statement that most are misplaced or buried with no marker that has survived this long.

Records show 129 Mississippians buried in the Marietta Cemetery Confederate, Section of the Confederate Burials.
He however is not listed among them, nor is his name list at Historic Oakland Cemetery.

Please do not give up hope in finding him, as there are records and some trace information that my be around just waiting on you to find it. There are letters of other members of this unit that could be searched and also in the formal records of his wifes pension as well.

I'm search my records for the cemeteries in the Marietta/Power Springs areas to see if there are any listing.
