Co.B 13th Reg GA "Meriwether Volunteers"

Below is information I found years ago on the net, and stupidly forgot to record the source, but didn't follow up because they were the wrong initials for my great great grandfather Mathew A. Braswell. I have looked and looked for this man to no avail.Recently a friend pointed out that a cursive A and V can be mixed up so since I can't find him anywhere else BUT have found his 3 brothers I'm hoping this is him.He would have only been about 12 when he signed up and he was very tall so he may have looked older.
He was born in Meriwether Co and is buried in Hogansville, he lived in Troup Co. in his later years.
The family surname for some and eventually all morfed to BRAZELL when an older brother moved to Troup Co in the 1880's and married a Culpepper.

Does anyone know where I can find more info on this unit or does anyone know if initials were ALL they used?
