Dave,
This is the J.D.Treadaway that I am seeking more information on. Thanks for confirming this name on the 20th Infantry Company D roster. I have copies of recipts for pay which gave 20th Inf. Co.D, but could not find him listed with the above company. He actually lived in Rome, Georgia before moving to Borden Springs, Alabama, when he married Josephine Alexander, daughter of Major/Capt. Mathew Alexander and Anne Borden Alexander. After the war, he moved to Paris, Lamar, Texas for 10-12 years before settling in Ellis County. He was attending a Civil War Reunion in New Orleans in 1906, when he was assaulted and died in the hospital there. He is buried in Navarro County, Texas.
