It looks like I need to work on Phillip's Ferry a little more. Emanuel County would have been way, way out of supporting distance and line of march of the Army of Tenneseee for that particular one to be correct.

I found the GeorgiaInfo website I believe you obtained the information from and I found another website with some additional information on Moore's Bridge that was absolutely facinating.

Moore's Bridge was built by Horace King in the 1850's. Horace King was a freed Black master bridge builder and the bridge was built between Newnan and Carrollton. During the war, he initially worked for the Confederacy in local contracts in the Columbus area but the Alabama governor spoiled this by impressment of his skills in the defense in defensive work on the lower Alabama River.

You don't hear that history in your Liberal Modern Day History textbooks do ya?
