T. J. Pritchard, Co. F 36th Regt. Georgia Infantry

Dear Mr. Martin,
I am looking for more information on My wife's Great x2 grandfather. His name is Thomas J. Pritchard. He was in the 36th Georgia Infantry. Company F. He was a private and promoted to Corporal.Born In De Kalb Co. (Stone Mountain)1839 and Died in Pulaski Co. Arkansas in 1904.He was also known as T.J. Pritchard and J.T. Pritchard. He was wounded at Baker's Creek, Mississippi May 16, 1863. He suffered a facial ball wound and was captured and placed into the Prison hospital at Champion Hill, Miss. We believe he applied for a pension in Arkansas after the war. He was apparently reurned home to the Atlanta area after his wife Sarah Amanda Pritchard, came to "get him" from the prison-hospital and he recovered and in 1864, Re-enlisted in the 2nd Georgia Infantry in Co. H. He may have served as a prison guard at Andersonville until the end of the war, but we are unsure.

Thank you for your time,

T. Dingman and A. (Pritchard)Dingman
