My husbands' ancestor, A.J. Womack, was listed on the Confederate Roll of Honor. He was at the Battle of Chickamauga, Ga. and the date is shown as 5/1/-5/4/1863. On some of the other soldiers listed the date for them is shown as 9/19-9/20/1863 for Chickamauga, Ga.

Why are the dates so different?
