I would like to obtain proof that F. A Dodgen served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 35th Militia of Cobb County GA in the 1860's. I read in a family book that this record is available at the GA Archives, but I don't live in Georgia and wonder if his record of militia service might be available elsewhere. I will appreciate information anyone might share about F. A. Dodgen, especially any assistance in obtaining proof of this service.
