Hello.
I am in need of some serious help.
Very little is known about this man Linton Acrey/Acree/Acre and various other spellings.
Linton was actually the middle name.
I am telling you excatly what a new found cousin shared with me.
Linton along with a James Acrey enlisted with the 11th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry
( Company A with his rank listed as Private).
She actually found some old pension records through the Georgia Archives for James but
this is where Linton just disappears.
I do know that there are numerous unaccounted for soldiers, so I wonder if this is
what happened to Linton.
According to the new cousin, Linton does not show up on any of the lists of the
soldiers who died.
Is there anyone who can solve this mystery for us?
Are you aware of something we do not know?
Where should we look?
