I would imagine you would find records of the various Confederate Homes at the Georgia State Archives in Morrow, just below the airport, or perhaps the Atlanta History Center across from the Governor's mansion. Then there may be records at the Fulton County Historical Society and also the UDC.

Enlisted on 3/4/1862 as a Private.
On 3/4/1862 he mustered into "I" Co. GA 42nd Infantry
He was Surrendered on 4/26/1865 at Greensboro, NC
