46th Georgia at Franklin

My direct ancestor, William T. Phillips, was a 1st. Sgt. 46th Georgia Infantry. His service records indicate that he was wounded at Franklin on December 17 and 18, 1864. (both dates listed on different cards) Could this be a copyist's error as the Franklin battle had occurred more than two weeks before. He was wounded in the upper arm and ended up at Point Lookout prison where he died April 19 as a result of the gunshot wound.

Does anyone know why the record would say he was wounded at Franklin on that date?
