* This company subsequently became Company C, 1st Regiment (Symons') Georgia Reserves

Also in Company C was Private J. F. Colley who enlisted July 22, 1864 at Savannah, he was recorded sick at Guyton Hospital on the Sept. & Oct. 1864 muster roll

Record of Events, Company C

April 16 to June 30, 1864, Stationed at Oglethorpe Barracks, Savannah, Geo.

This company has been stationed at Oglethorpe, Savh. Ga. Barracks since enlistment & are doing guard duty on R. Road trains & at Quartimaster & Commission Stores [sic]. Arms are just issued and the men have not yet had time to put them in order. The company is well officered and are rapidly improving in discipline & drill

[The Company A record also states: Many of the men are detailed by those having no authority to do so]

Sept. & Oct., 1864, Stationed at Oglethorpe Barracks
