Re: McBrayer, 9th Batt, Georgia Cavalry

Mike, perhaps something more recent will give you a clue. My Aunt Catherine Price married Robert McBrayer, a Texan. They lived in Waco before and during WWII. He was in the 36th Infantry Division, and fought through Italy. After the war, they lived off Powder Springs Road, near Macland, in Cobb County. He had horses on their property. Uncle Robert ran the Stonewall Inn, on Atlanta Road, Near Vinings. The dining room had an extensive collection of artifacts from Kennesaw Mountain. They had two children, Donald and June, both deceased. Donald passed in El Paso a few years ago. June died earlier in Dallas or Mesquite. Uncle Robert had a restaurant in Dallas, Texas, near the stockyards, in the late 1950s, and later one in Mesquite, where he passed. I'm not sure when. My daughter's first grade teacher in 1981 was Mrs. McBrayer; I'm not sure of the connection, but Uncle Robert must have had family here to be here when he married my Aunt. I have no idea how this may help you, but I hope you can use it some way. Stan
