I have this soldiers application for pension, filed in Sept., 1901 in Chattooga County. The ap. states that he enlisted in Co. E 3rd GA Cavalry in April of 1862, wounded in the foot at Ft. Donelson, TN?? 1863, surrendered at Greenville, S.C. 1865, was present at surrender. However, I can find no service record under that name, for any regiment in the AOT. There were 3 Lawrence's shown in the 3rd, none in Co. E, none named Malachi. Any help would be appreciated.
