Wow. Very interesting story. . . and it rings a bell. Not sure if you've heard of it but there is a show called, "Who Do You Think You Are" and it researches the family history of various famous folks. I believe that this Griswoldville pistol factory storywas featured in it. I think it was the episode with Director Spike Lee's genealogy. If you haven't seen it, it might be of interest to you.
