Re: George Page 19th Ga or 27th Ga?

F. F. Page mentioned in the Civil War poem about soldiers from Coweta County, Georgia.

Frederick F. Page is buried in Tranquil Cemetery, Coweta Co., Ga. He was in Co. D., 19th Georgia and died at home in 1861. He was the s/o George Herbert Page, M.D. and Nancy Gay.

Dr. George H. Page born Abt. 1810 is also buried in Tranquil Cemetery, Coweta Co., Ga. and has a UDC marker stating he was in Co. D., 19th Georgia and died in 1885. I imagine he served during the war in his medical capacity because of his age.

I don't know if George Page was Dr. George H. Page's nephew but it is certainly possible.

Take care,
Phil Tidwell
