Please accept my sincere thanks for your most immediate reply. My GGGrandfather, was John Newton Nix, entered service the latter part of 1863, Discharged May 1865 at Athens Clark Co Georgia.
My information was taken from a information by Patricia K Jones "Confederate Veterns Hall County Georgia" page 143.
John Newton, Ira C D, and Christoper were all brothers. I have just recently got pictures of Christoper grave site
at Hollwood Va. Ira did return to Georgiafor a shoty time, then went to Mississippi, returned to Georgia, went to Texas where he died in 1920. John Newton died in 1902. Thanks Larry Nix
