Three Porter brothers enlisted in 21st GA Infantry 9 July 1861 at Antioch, Troup Co., GA. They were supposed to travel to Richmond, VA to be mustered in. Two brothers David and James arrived and were mustered in 28 July 1861, but youngest brother John was not. All I have is documentation that he enlisted, then he disappears. Does anyone know the route this unit traveled to get to Richmond, VA. I am sure he buried somewhere alone the way? Thank you for any help.
