Thanks Alan, I'm new to this I took advantage of Ancestry's free civil war week. All I had was a name and county. They gave me 2 enlist dates, John on 4 mar.'62 an John W. on 3 Apr. '62. My grandfather also said he had 4 uncles who served. My other ggfather was Mark Davenport, probate judge for Buchanon Ga. maybe they were on that side of the family. I plan to do more research in the winter. Thanks.
