Gartell's independant cavalry company was the only Georgia command at the battle of Brice's Cross Roads and was one of two escort companies for Genl Forrest. I performed an exhaustive study on Confederate casualties at Brice's Cross Roads. I found no KIA or WIA for Gartell's Company. If anyone knows anythi ng different - please respond.
