Glenn often claimed in the newspapers that he was raising these regiments. Have you run across any evidence that they were officially organized?
Col. Thomas Travis Dorough (1836-77) had been major of the 34th GA Infantry and Lt. Col. of Militia cavalry.
Col. James Bryan is probably the James Bryan of Gilmer County who was Lt. Col. of the 1st GA State Line. He is probably the James Bryan, farmer age 36 in the 1860 census of Gilmer County.
