Thanks for the reply, and yes sir I know the internet is good research and it can also be so wrong. I looked this up on Google and the gentlemans name is listed under the Talladega Camp of Instruction, his last name was Vineyard, dont remember his initials, and it seems he was born in 1826. It is a veterans footstone, but what interested me was, I had never seen a marker with this on it nor had I ever heard of such a camp. But there are a lot of things I have never heard of, and I posted cause I know there is a wealth of knowledge here on these boards. I will try to find out all I can on these camps, thanks again for all your help, on this subject as well as other posts I have made.
