I couldn't find that unit either. I looked in my book of Georgia units and did find him in a later unit. The 12 regiments of the Georgia Militia were turned over to the CSA during the Sherman campaign. The State of Georgia had to reorganised the militia and those records are harder to come by. Most of this information is in my book but not in this form. Since the book was printed I've done a little more work on the re-organized militia. Hope this helps you.

This battalion along with the Georgia Militia Battalions of Fayette and Butts Counties were referred to as the 26TH Military District Georgia Militia.
