James T. Holt, William Roark and William A. Gage were all Madison County men. They had previously served in Col. Adams' hardluck regiment -- 3rd Regiment, Northwest Division, TMA -- which was disbanded after the Battle of Prairie Grove. They were assigned to the 17th (Harrell's) Battalion Arkansas Cavalry, and disappear from the Arkansas records after that. Now I know that they went to the Indian Territory. Many thanks.
