Thankyou Lars for your information about James Yergin. It's interesting how the accent of NW Arkansas changed the spelling. Our family tree is right on with his middle name. James Chambers Yeargain is for sure the step-brother to be, after the war, of the Gailey brothers. My search now will be to find the track record of his father. How did he disappear in 1863? If you don't mind posting the records, I would greatly appreciate it. I have the record of Warren #349, Augustus #346, and Joseph-died at Coodies Creek, but not of Lucien. Gloria (Gailey) and I went to the Honey Springs reenactment this past weekend and enjoyed it very much. Tents, horses, cannons, infantry, and musket smoke. I could see the Cherokee Mounted Rifles for sure.
