Wm. H. Jones - 5th TN Inf. (US)
In Response To: Re: CW vet burials in Oklahoma ()

Dear Mahlon,

I have a funeral home record from Ardmore, Carter Cty., OK stating that my gg-grandfather, William Henry Jones, was buried in 1906 "by friends" in the GAR section of the Rosehill Cemetery. Unfortunately, there is no marker for his grave. The folks at the cemetery have examined their records and the grounds thoroughly and his marker is missing or there never was one.

Would you like a copy of this funeral home record as proof of burial?

William H. Jones was a corporal in Company "C" or the 5th Tennessee Infantry (US).
