Re: Peter Bryan Fowler
In Response To: Peter Bryan Fowler ()

Hello. I know little except that my ggg grandfather was Lt. Fielding Price of the 1st Arkansas Cav,
which was under the command of Dobbins. According to what Bryan Howerton and some more others
in Arkansas have told me, there are no real records. Unless a man showed up on a prison list
or filed for a pension, later on, there is nothing.
Supposedly the Yankees hated them and considered all to be guerillas.
The only place that Lt. Fielding Price surfaced was in the National Archives. Because of that,
Price's name was then listed in a book called Rebel's Hell about the Yankee prison in Little Rock.
So judging by my experience, you are not going to find much.
More than likely this man came from out of central Arkansas, probably what is now
White, Independence, or Faulkner County. Price lived in what is now White County.
Perhaps others have had better luck than me.
I hope you find this useful.
