I don't have a lot to offer regarding Union Army research in this part of the world. You might start with some google searches on the net. A check of the central library of the county seat for the county you are researching sometimes bears fruit. You might ask the history section reference librarian who is the "expert" for that County's history and contact that person. (Every County has an expert.)
