Of course, after the war, the Signal Corps established a reporting station
at the town of Fort Gibson, unrelated to the post. Those records are available
at OHS. Try the National Weather Service records-either through that agency,
or, through NARA (I don't remember their record group for that agency) for
Civil War era weather records. There might be alternative records which could
cover some of the war years, hidden therein.
