I ran across this article that others may find of interest. The first of the article discusses the earthworks at Ft Gibson/Blunt. An interesting topic is the about the discovery of rolled metal arrow points. I first learned of this discovery from Ralph Jones. I'm a little skeptical whether the items found were actually arrow points though it is certainly possible or even likely that some Indians were carrying bows with them, especially considering the poor quality and quantity of their gunpowder. I may have misunderstood but I thought many more had been found than are mentioned in the article. However, those found seem to coincide with where spent bullets were concentratied.
