There is a Bio. on him in the H.F. O'Beirne-1902-Chiefs,Legislators and
Leading men in Indian Territary-- page 255-258
He started in the war under John Jumper as a 1st Lt.in Semimole Batt..at the 1st re-org he was made Capt.under re-organization to a Regiment he was made Lt Col.he held this rank until close of the war.
You should read his Bio. as his title Col may have been durning the Esparhecher Rebellion-Creeks in 1890s
