It seems possible that there may have been Black employees at Ft Gibson but not Black soldiers. There may have been many Black Seminole, slaves and free men, around the fort during this time. The military likely rented slaves for various jobs, most importantly as interpreters. Missionaries also rented slaves for this purpose. I don't know about rosters during that time period.
