Letcher county and others were a very dangerous place during and after the civil war.Reprisals and vendettas went on long after the war.My g-grandfather was a member of the Wise Co. bushwackers which is a small distance from eolia ky and also cumberland ky where my father grew up.anyone with any additional info would you please share it with a yankee........me!(i hold southern sympathies!) thank you chas. hughes
