Owner of the land that Camp Boone is on has petitioned the County Commissioners to rezone the property so that he may sell to a company to build a gas station on the land. We are going before the County Commissioners to try and stop this action. To support it you may write a message to me and I will forward it to the Commissioners in a package that we are gathering locally. You can also be on hand in Clarksville, TN on Thursday, July 8 at 7:00 pm to talk out against the developement of this property. Several of us in the community will be speaking at the meeting, a local attorney, President of the local Round table, MOnt. Co Historical Society, a SCV camp, Arts and Heritage Developement Council, a reenactors group, and myself representing the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center.
