Wow!!! Have seen this unit's name before, but did not know they had Jackson Purchase men in it. Wonder if this might be a possiblity for the supposed CSA service of my two ggg-uncles Riley Marion Byrd (1860 Stewart Co. TN census) and John Ashley Byrd (1860 Calloway Co. KY census)..????

Also, I recently discovered a document describing a certain John A. Wilkerson in the 3rd Kentucky Infantry who was present during the 1889 Reunion of the 11th/17th Arkansas Infantry at Malvern, AR. Looks like a Purchase man who relocated after the WBTS..???
