Anton Miller(Mueller) was born in 1821 in Ravensburg, Werttemburg, Germany and came to America about 1856. Initially, he worked on the railroad and traveled to many states. It is unknown why he joined because he could barely speak English. After the war, railroad work took him to Cass County, Michigan, where he settled. He died in 1896 and is buried at Milton, Michigan. His descendants claim that he served in the Confederate Army as a Kentucky soldier. The Anton Miller in the 9th Kentucky Infantry is the only possible fit. I need to have someone check the record to see what his service was all about. Do you have access to the records?
