Family legend: my great-grandfather, John Franklin Kervin, left the 17th Alabama Inf., Co. B and joined Quantrill's Raiders. A bit far-fetched! but part of the story is that, while in KY, he met and married "half-Indian" named "Dorothy Elizabeth Rambo." Photo taken of them around 1900 seems to confirm her alleged ancestry. Any suggestions / information of how I may find out from where in KY did Dorothy Elizabeth Rambo hail would be appreciated.
