I am trying to find out if members of my family served in the Civil War. I have a couple of names. These names are names found in the same family. I have found war records, but they don't give much information. I need to connect the names with their farther, so I could be sure it was them. Is it possible to have records that connect the soldiers with their parents?

My names are: Ira and John W Stamper; they were from Turkey Cree, Letcher County, Ky., and their father was Isom Stamper.
