Re: William B. Higginbotham, Field's Partisan Rang

I find nothing on Field's PRs.

George Martin

William B. Higambotom [sic] enlisted as a Private in Captain William J. Fields's Company Partisan Ranger September 24, 1862 in Morgan County, Ky., recorded as sick at home on the November 30, 1862 roster, no further records

Charles Higambottom enlisted as a Private in Captain William J. Field's Company Partisan Rangers September 13, 1862 in Morgan County, Ky., deserted October 30, 1862, no further records

Note: The next muster roll for the period November 30, 1862 to June 30, 1863, apparently did not record either of these two men. Meaning that they had not returned to the company up to this time.

Captain William J. Fields, captured at Cumberland Gap, Tenn. February 4, 1864, sent to Fort Delaware, Del. prison camp via Camp Chase, Ohio , died of small pox July 11, 1864
