Hello Owen S.Carpenter was my Mothers GreatGrandfather,Charlen Brown Vandiver. Her mother was lena Carpenter Brown.she was one of the many childern of Jim Carpenter.
It's always great to fine Kin. I'm David vandiver,I live in Oglesby Texas,Now back on Owen,His father was name John and mother named Matilda Southerland. I found many,many Carpenters in Case Co. KY. in the 1850 census. I have some old information that was put together many years ago. I also have a old News paper cliping that has Owen S. picture in it,that was put out in 1963.on founders of Troy Texas.
