Thank you for the sites. I will check them out. I didn't know about the bodies of some Confederate soldiers being sent to medical schools to be dissected. Hopefully, they waited for them to die. That was a horrible, horrible thing for them to do. Thank goodness, the J. M. (James M.) Book I am lookinf for was not one of them. I know he survived the war but believe he was in bad health after the war. He was alive in 1902 but died before 1910. Believe he died in Kentucky, probably in Anderson County, but not sure of it. I guess I will also get some history books and see if I can find what was going on around Louisa, Ky. at the time he was captured, and look some more for the 1st Ky. Cav. Thanks again for your help.
