3rd Kentucky Cavalry

I'm trying to find some information about Sgt. W. P. Larew, Company F, 3rd Ky. Cavalry, Morgan's Brigade.
The family has a framed Confederate flag with the following notation on the back:
"This little flag of the CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA was presented
Sergeant W. P. Larew, Company F, 3rd Kentucky Cavalry, Morgan's
Brigade, CONFEDERATES STATES ARMY, near Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in
December, 1862, by a loyal southern girl, Miss Jennie Bell, of that
state. It was carried through the "War Between the States" by
Sergeant Larew, and thirty years later was framed by his children
and hung upon a Christmas Tree, and now is treasured by its owner
as a perpetual reminder of that JUST, though "LOST CAUSE." "
Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
