Hi Tom,

I've found the following references to Hadnot's, Hudnot's and Hudnott's Plantation at or around May 1st, 1864. You may already have this and I can't attest for its accuracy, but maybe this will provide some hints for you or others attempting to answer your query.

I did a Soundex search of the name Hadnot in Louisiana in the 1860 census and all of the listings appear in Rapides Parish. So,if a Hadnot family member still owned this plantation it would appear it is near or at Alexandria. As you know there were a number of unnamed skirmishes which occurred around Alexandria the last of April through May 13th when the city was burned.

BTW, how about listing your terrific website on your postings? I'm sure a number of folks here would like to visit.
