Re: Wm. Quantrill in LA

In the bible of Newton L. Huff (Captian of Co.K, 7th Miss Inf) there is a note that his brother, Robert Samuel Huff, from Bonita, LA served with 'Quantrill's Rangers' at the beginning of the war, and after a few raids, did not want to associate himself with such men, so he came home to Bonita and gave aid to the Confederates.
I looked at this again this morning, as I was at Mr. Alcus Huff's (Newton's grandson) house. Mr. Alcus is a Real Son, as his father also served, (in Col Griffith's 11th/17th Ark Mtd Inf).
I wonder if Quantrill did come to LA?
