Re: 14th Confederate Cavalry Regiment

Virgil--Thank you for your response. The individual, my greatgrandfather, Joseph Antoine Pino was originally a member of Miles Legion shown as present on August 17, 1683.
A muster roll for the period to December 31, 1863 shows him
killed on December 6, 1863. There is reason to believe that the Cavalry Company A of Miles Legion was a part of the 14th Confederate Cavalry Regiment which was engaged in a skirmish around Natchez MS on December 7th as reported by Brig.Gen Wirt W Adams. Since Joseph Pino was killed in MS
and buried there as stated in the Diocese of Baton Rouge records I have assumed that this was my GGfather. Most of the information I have related here was given to me by Mr. Arthur Bergeron Jr based on his research for which I am most grateful.
Based on the foregoing I do not think the muster roll you have so kindly offered would be of help to me but I am most appreciative of your offer.
