I am tryi9ng to find what unit my gggrandpa fought in. He is listed twice on the 1860 Orchard Grove, Bossier Parrish census. He is listed as B. ? Grubbs. He went off to war but his wife died and he died and his young kids never knew what unit. Most all of his family was still in Simpson Co Miss but I can't find him with any of them. It is possible his name was William Francis Marion Grubbs, but his half brother was named Francis Marion and so there is some confusion here. However, if anyone has any records from the Bossier parrish area with a William, Bill or initials B. something Grubbs and a unit please contact me at Aconfed@aol.com.
